Supplier Quality Management Engineer (SQM) (S16.08-NL)
At Supplier Quality Management (SQM) you will be a part of the SQM team of one of our customers; securing that the supply base can produce and deliver parts within specification to the required production volumes. You will drive supplier to reach zero defect capability. This involves solving quality issues in running production and warranty issues from the field.
We are now looking for an SQM Engineer to join our team.
Main tasks consist off:
• Take lead for solving supplier quality problems in running production and field issues;
• Identify, communicate and resolve supplier serious quality deviations (stop shipments/field actions);
• Support the assembly plant with various supplier related issues;
• Drive continuous improvement and resolution of systemic supplier site concerns;
• Drive quality assurance process with suppliers in product development projects;
• Ability to travel to suppliers' sites;
• Review/concur supplier selection with procurement;
• Support the product programs in the pre-series and launch for supplier related issues;
• Challenge and report the supplier readiness and capacity to program management;
• Follow up status of phased documentation for new or changed parts at suppliers;
Required qualifications:
• Engineering education on university level or compareble experience;
• Knowledge regarding supplier production processes;
• Knowledge of quality assurance methods and procedures;
• Knowledge about quality tools is beneficial;
• Proficiency in English both written and spoken;
• Leadership skills, able to drive suppliers towards concern resolution;
